 The basic unit alone together with the motor and a few inexpensive attachments (i.e. a 3 jaw lathe chuck, a 3 jaw drill chuck and a selection of tools) permits a large number of operations irrespective of whether the component is made of balsa wood, tool steel or one of the modern plastic materials.     Much better quality than I've found previously online.
    The manual could do with a bit of darkening... but that's only minor compared to the fact that you can actually read it all. Thanks.
